Charity Director, Speech Language Pathologist
Ingrid Jeffrey serves as Executive Director of the MLE Training & Research Society. (B.A Hons from SFU in 1972, MSc in Speech Sciences and Audiology in 1974 from UBC). She worked as Speech-Language Pathologist for both the Coquitlam and the Vancouver School Board. Past president of the B.C. Association for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
Ingrid was part of a team who established the Charity in 1991, serving as Executive Director, initially on a seconded part-time basis, and since her retirement on a full time basis.
Ingrid has trained in Dynamic Assessment with Prof. R. Feuerstein, Prof C. Haywood, Prof. L. Falik and Prof. D Tzuriel. She is a trainer in the Dynamic Assessment and in the Bright Start program. As well, Ingrid has received training in the Instrumental Enrichment Program (all levels including IE Basic) Cognet (Prof K Greenwood), Parents as Mediator (Dr. Tre Jensen). Ingrid has attended Training workshops and presented at conferences nationally and internationally; including in Israel, Belgium, South Africa, Paris/France, Tennessee, California, White Horse, and Calgary. She was instrumental in founding the Mediated Learning Academy in 2003 and has received the B.C. Community Achievement Award in 2013.
