Vice Principal , Vision Resource Teacher
Margot White joined the Mediated Learning Academy in 2010 after having taught in the British Columbia public school system for 35 years. She comes to the MLA directly from the Coquitlam School District (1994-2010). Margot taught in the Southeast Kootenay School District (1975-1985) and the Okanagan/Skaha District (1985-1994). She has a B.ED and M.Ed (Special Education). She completed intensive graduate training in visual impairment at the University of Northern Colorado. Margot’s extensive teaching experience has enabled her to serve in a number of different capacities including classroom teacher, learning assistance, resource room, skill development, English as a Second Language, vision resource and district assessment. She played a pivotal role in the first stages of the inclusion movement in British Columbia, and is a strong believer in encouraging students to maximize their potential.
Her personal interests include running marathons and visiting her daughter and granddaughter in Sydney, Australia.
