Carla has got a Bachelor degree in Psychology at the Universidade Federal da Bahia (Brazil), and obtained a Master’s Degree in Developmental Psychology at the same university in July 2015. Her research study was related to the influence of Visual Teaching Tools for reading comprehension.
She has over 15 years of experience with Cognitive Education, having worked at Hope Centre for Cognitive Education – London (2002-2007) as a mediator specialist with children and adolescents with cognitive disabilities, plus 2 years at the research department of large educational project for implementing FIE at the public schools at the state of Bahia, Brazil. She has also 5 years of experience as Clinical Psychologist in Brazil, assessing and intervening cognitive potential of children and teenagers with learning and/or behavior difficulties.
She has training and large experience on Prof. Feuerstein theory and method (Brazil and England), including Learning Propensity Assessment Device (LPAD) and Instrumental Enrichment Program (IEP). Training also on Tzuriel’s Dynamic Assessment and Haywood’s Bright Start program.
Carla loves talking, specially if it is about Brazil and her international experiences. Music, arts, cinema and neuroscience related issues to education are topics she enjoys a lot too.
